Honda XBlade 160 ABS Launched

Honda 2 wheelers India has launched its 160 cc sporty bike with Anti-lock braking system. Being showcased at the 2018 Auto Expo the new Honda XBlade 160 ABS has finally got a price tag of 87,776 INR (ex-showroom Delhi). The model was displayed at Vivo Pro Kabaddi League 2018.

Commenting on the launch, Minoru Kato, President &CEO – Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd. “Strengthening our position in 150-180cc motorcycle segment, the X-Blade defines advanced styling and superior technology for the young enthusiast. We are determined to transform the way India rides on 2 Wheels with new innovative products and advanced technology.”

Speaking on the occasion,Yadvinder Singh Guleria, Senior Vice President – Sales and Marketing, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India Pvt. Ltd., said, “The X-Blade has been exclusively designed for the young motorcycle enthusiast looking for style and performance in their daily commuting. The X-Blade now comes equipped with ABS which will enhance rider’s confidence. Sporty style is at the core of new X-Blade and appreciating the ethos of sports, Honda is also presenting the X-Blade to the most stylish player in each city leg of the Vivo Pro Kabaddi league 2018.”

Design language is similar to regular XBlade. It gets those edgy and sharp design elements. Also, it’s the only bike in segment featuring LED headlamp. It also hosts sharply designed grab rails, matte black side panels, rear tyre hugger and dual outlet muffler with a chrome tip. The new XBlade is underpinned by the platform similar to the upcoming CB Hornet 160 R. The X-Blade is available in 5 colours – Blue, Frozen Silver, Spartan Red,Igneous Black and Marshal Green.

Honda XBlade 160 ABS Drive.

The XBlade gets a 162.71 cc single cylinder engine making out 14 HP at 8,500 rpm and 13.9 Nm of Torque at 6000 rpm. The suspension duties is carried by telescopic forks at front and a mono-shock absorber at the rear. In terms of braking it gets a 276 mm front disk and 130 mm rear disc with a single channel ABS unit.

The XBlade ABS costs around 8,000 Rs more than the standard model.
