Mahindra Auto sector experiences 10% growth in February 2019

Mahindra and Mahindra Ltd. announces the sales figure in February to be 56,005 vehicles., compared to February 2018, where 51,127 vehicles were sold. Thus making 10% rise in the sales figure this year.

The company’s domestic sales touched 52,915 units during February 2019 and ascends 9% when compared with 48,473 units in February 2018. The passenger vehicle segment sold 26,109 vehicles in Feb 2019 gaining a growth of 17% as against 22,389 units sold in Feb 2018.

The company’s Passenger Vehicle lineup includes KUV 100, XUV 300, Scorpio, Marazzo, XUV 500 and Alturas G4. Also, the newly launched XUV 300 and Alturas G4 are performing good in the market and contributing for the overall sales growth for the firm.

Export figures too raised by 16%, about 3090 units were exported in February 2019 as against 2654 units in February 2018.

Commenting on the performance, Rajan Wadhera, President, Automotive Sector, M&M Ltd. said, “The month of February has augured well for Mahindra. We have witnessed a strong double digit growth of 16% in our UV portfolio, on the back of our newly launched XUV300 model. Further, the overall growth for the month has been around 10%. On a YTD basis too, we have shown a strong growth of 12% at an overall level.”
