Most of the German and Japanese car manufacturers have presented their modern skills in the Indian market. But the Indian manufacturers too have started rolling their wheels. Recently, Mahindra has teased its upcoming MPV named “Marazzo” which means shark in Spanish language. It is going to be enter the 7 and 8-seaters competition. Its main rivals are the Suzuki Ertiga, Tata Hexa, Toyota Innova Crysta and Renault Lodgy. Mahindra announces to launch this MPV up to October.
The Mahindra Design Studio and Italian design house Pininfarina have collaborated closely during the design development process. It is going to sit on a new and big platform to offer you best in class space and handling. As the name says everything, Marazzo is going to be a shark inspired design. Teased images displays shark teeth inspired chromed grill with those aggressive lamps. The side profile is a three window design with the rear window curving upwards. The rear is going to get shark tail reflecting tail lamps and also a shark fin antenna at the top.
Marazzo may receive beige and black coloured interiors, with best in class space. It may also get a touch screen infotainment unit supporting android auto, apple car play, Bluetooth, USB and AUX connectivity. The instrument cluster will get a purple colour with a digital display and analog dials on both sides. It will also show door ajar and multiple indicators.
In terms of comfort, Mahindra has planned a vertically aligned AC vents, which they call shark-spline, to cool the cabin effectively. It may also get an automatic climate control.
It may get dual airbags, ABS and EBD as standard. Mahindra may also offer Hill assist control, Cruse control, Engine start stop switch, Reverse parking camera and sensors in the top trims.
Marazzo may get an all-new 1.6 L Turbocharged Diesel engine coupled with 6-speed manual and automatic gearbox. It may generate 125 Horses and 125 Nm of torque. Well, it may also have some chances to get a 1.5 L petrol motor featuring 6-speed manual transmission. This motors have also claimed to generate more efficiency with light weight.
We can also expect the engine coming in various driving modes as the instrument cluster displays an ‘eco’ indicator in the top of cluster unit.
Marazzo may be launched in between 10 Lakhs to 15 Lakhs ex-showroom.
