Volkswagen India has recently added the connect edition in the Vento and now may be going to add a new variant. We were driving on the Pune-Bangalore Highway towards Pune and spied the Volkswagen Vento being tested in Khandala, Satara. The test was been carried out including interior tests. The car was chased by us for 15 kms, luckily the driver stopped for some reason and we got the chance to click some interior images.
The driver refused to shoot the interior, but still somehow we managed to bring you some interior photos. The model being tested was the Vento TDi in ‘lapiz Blue’ colour. As soon as we shifted back, the driver rushed very fast, maybe he don’t want to allow us to shoot the rear part of cabin.
The exterior of the Vento being tested is similar to the ongoing car but there was a hidden badge on the front fender. The interior consisted of some testing equipments too. One was placed on the co-driver seat with the seat-belt. Another unit was placed in between the center console with some LED signals outputs. The spy images displays some part of the equipment as the photos were clicked in a hush bury the complete assembly isn’t visible. The test person refused to open up about the test. Maybe, Volkswagen is adding anew variant in the Vento lineup or adding some interior features.
The interior is similar to the ongoing car with the grey and beige combination. The car also had a normal key and no start stop switch present. The testing equipment was connected with the port on dashboard and had an output through the equipment placed just below the center console.
Currently the Volkswagen Vento competes with Hyundai Verna, Maruti Suzuki Ciaz, Skoda Rapid, Honda City.
